Competitor Information 

Adelaide Sailing Club - Event Site Plan

Accommodation

West Beach Parks is adjacent to the sailing club - www.westbeachparks.com.au

Catering

The club has a licensed canteen. 

Registration

  • The registration desk will be open on Saturday 27 September 0900-0945 in the club
  • Competitors and Support vessel skippers please go to the registration desk to confirm your attendance at the regatta
  • All competitors who have registered via online registration are required to check all competitors' details before the first race. Any changes to competitor details must be made before 10:00 hrs on Saturday 4th October. Once racing is underway, competitors will be required to fill in a change of competitor details form, available at the Regatta Office.

Rigging and launching 

Adelaide Sailing Club is fortunate to have extensive grassed rigging areas in front of the clubhouse with a short (100m) walk to a sheltered sandy beach launching area. 

Trailer Storage 

Trailer storage is available north of the main club car park 

Regatta Office

The Regatta Office is located downstairs Club House.

Opening hours during the event: Saturday and Sunday 0830-1700

Sign On/Off

Sign on/off sheets will be downstairs in the Club each day, or may be via an online method.

Support Boats

Registration

  • All Support Vessels for the Youth Championships must register for the regatta and agree to the Safety regulations published in the race documents.

  • If you have not registered yet >>CLICK HERE - 2025 form to come

  • Only vessels registered, and displaying an identification number (if provided), are able to use the facilities provided to registered support boats and be on the water near the racing.

  • Please bring a VHF Radio for your support boat.

Overnight Storage

On water: in the pond near the boat ramp, this is not a secure area, boats are stored at your own risk

On land: at the Northerly end of the boat park, the boom gate access is closed at night.

Boat Ramps

On the southern boundary of Adelaide Sailing Club is a protected six-lane public boat ramp. 

Fuel

Adelaide Sailing Club does not store fuel. Fuel is available from petrol stations on Military Road and Tapleys Hill road, both 5 minutes drive from the club. Fuel is also available on water from the Glenelg marina 10 minutes south of the club. 

Race Course 

There are no obstructions or marinas to sail through in sailing from the Adelaide Sailing Club to either of the racecourses. Generally, boats take less than 15 minutes to sail from the launching beach to the starting area. 

Racing Viewing 

Racing will be held in front of the Sailing Club. The large balcony provides good viewing of both race courses. Other vantage points include the raised grass area to the south of the club and the Surf Life Saving Club to the north of the club. 

First Aid during the Regatta

The Regatta Office will be providing first aid.

Covid-19

If sailors or their support people are unwell, please do not attend the event.
