2027 Youth Sailing World Championships

The Youth Sailing World Championships (YSWC) brings together youth sailors from around the world to compete across 11 events in male, female and mixed categories. Competitors must be above the age of 12 years and under 19 years on 31 December 2027 to be eligible for selection.

Selection Guidelines Published	3 August 2026
Sailor Expression of Interest Opens	3 August 2026
Sailor Expression of Interest Closes	In line with clause 4.5 of the selection guidelines, All sailors interested in seeking selection are required to submit a 2027 ASYT Expression of Interest online form no later than 12 hours prior to the beginning date of the relevant event selection regatta.

Notification of Selection	In line with clause 4.6 of the Selection Guidelines, Australian Sailing will email all eligible sailors who competed in the selection regattas to advise the date the Selection Panel will meet. For all classes except the Nacra 15, this notification will be provided no later than 31 January 2027. For the Nacra 15 class, where the final selection regatta takes place later, notification will be provided no later than 1 April 2027. The official selection notification (i.e. the offer of a place on the team) will only be made after the Selection Panel has met and formally confirmed the final team.
