Youth Sail SA

The Zhik Youth Sail SA 2024 Youth Championship event includes a two-day SA Youth Championship regatta for U23 Youth Classes and a two-day coaching clinic.

Youth Sail is focussed on growing participation in junior and youth classes, increasing sailors’ skills, fostering social connection, and building friendship and community between our youth sailors.

Meet an Olympian & Burger Night for sailors

On Saturday 28th Sept, all sailors registered for the regatta are invited to a free burger dinner and to meet Olympian Jim Colley who will take part in a Q&A session.

Dinner is FREE for YOUTHSAIL competitors and volunteers. 

Tickets are $15 each for everyone else, please RSVP for the event, and pay on the night >> CLICK HERE

On the menu is Caroline's famous burgers, with a choice of beef, chicken or vegetarian.

Only limited burgers will be available for those who haven't RSVP'd.

Green Fleet

ARE YOU NEW TO OPTIMIST SAILING? READY TO JOIN THE GREEN FLEET THIS SEASON?
KEEN TO HAVE LOTS OF FUN?
Then the Youth Sail at Largs Bay Sailing Club September 28th & 29th is for you!
The green fleet have their own course area so close to shore you can almost touch them.
The racing is a coached event headed up by well experienced and respected Brett Yardley and his amazing team of instructors.
And if the weather is no good then we'll leave the boats an focus on just having fun.

The Green Fleet program targets sailors who have recently completed a Tackers 3 Learn to sail program or equivalent. The focus is on having fun and learning new skills as an introduction to racing conducted by qualified instructors/foundation coaches and is an ideal way to participate in your first regatta.
