Combined Coaching Clinic & TAS Youth Championship Regatta
Incorporating the Tasmanian ILCA State Championships 2026
The Zhik Youth Sail TAS 2026 event will be a combined coaching clinic and 2026 TAS Youth Championship regatta. The schedule will include coaching and racing each day over the March long weekend.
Youth Sail is focussed on growing participation in junior and youth classes, increasing sailors’ skills, fostering social connection, and building friendship and community between our youth sailors. This event is open to all Australian Sailing junior and youth classes.
Green Fleet
The Green Fleet program targets sailors who have recently completed a Tackers 3 Learn to sail program or equivalent. The focus is on having fun and learning new skills as an introduction to racing, conducted by qualified instructors/foundation coaches and is an ideal way to participate in your first regatta.
Green Fleet will not have formal racing, the program will focus on participation and the sailors will have the opportunity to experience activities such as; destination sails, keelboat sailing, developing skills and confidence on the water in a noncompetitive environment.
Green fleet will be led by experienced Coach, Nick Neale.
Guest Speaker
On Saturday 7th March after sailing Rhiannan Brown, Paris Olympian in the Nacra 17 Class, will share her personal sailing story and her experiences competing at the highest level.
